Günümüz dünyasının ekonomik, bilim ve teknolojik gelişmelerini geçmişle kıyasladığımızda, insanoğlunun son bir kaç asırdır büyük gelişmeler ve ilerlemeler kaydettiğiniz görürüz. Ancak aynı gelişmenin insani değerler açısından olduğunu söylemek mümkün değildir. Tüm dünyada, Müslüman toplumlar da dahil olmak üzere, büyük bir ahlaki çöküntü yaşanmaktadır. Bu noktada, tüm insanların Allah tarafından gönderilen ilahi kitapların öğretilerine dönmeleri gerekmektedir. Ancak tüm insanlık için Kur’an’ın ayrı bir yeri vardır, zira Kur’an şimdiye kadar hiç bozulmamış bir şekilde gönderilen tek ilahi bir kitap olduğu gibi, onun mesajı tüm insanlığı kapsamaktadır. O pek çok evrensel ahlaki ilkeler içermektedir. O insanlık sadece bazı ahlaki değerler değil, aynı zamanda bazı hedefler de getirmiştir. Bu makale Kur’an’nın insanlık için getirdiği bazı değerlerle hedefleri incelemektedir. Değerler olarak, insanın önemi, çalışmanın zorunluluğu, bireysel ve sosyal sorumluluk, öz-kontrol, kendine güven ve ahlaki ilkeleri içerirken, hedefler olarak da takva, dünya-ahiret dengesi, ideal bir ümmet, inançlı bir toplum ve dünya barışını tesis etme gibi hedefleri içermektedir.

When we compare the economic, scientific and technological developments of our to-day’s world with the past, we see that human beings have achieved a great progress and development for the last centuries. However, it is not possible to say the same thing in terms of humanistic values. All over the world, people have lived a great moral collapse including Muslims societies. At this point, it seems to me that all human beings need to look at the instructions of the sacred books sent by the God. However, the Qur’an has a special place among the sacred books in the world today, for it is a unique Book which has never been distorted so far and has been sent to all human beings. It contains many universal ethical values. The Qur’an brings not only some moral values but also some aims for human beings. This article examines these values and aims brought by the Qur’an. While these values include the value of human being, working, individualistic and social responsibilities, self-control, self-reliance, and moral values; the objectives cover the fear of God (piety), the balance of this world and the next world, the producing a model community, creating a faithful society, and establishing the world peace.
