Üniversite son sınıf öğrencileri ve yeni mezunların iş araştırma stratejileri

Bu çalışmada, Türkçe yazında oldukça az araştırılan konulardan birisi olan iş araştırma süreci ile bu süreçte kullanılan bilgi kaynakları ve söz konusu kaynakların kullanım yoğunluğu incelenmiştir. Bu çerçevede kapsamlı odak grubu çalışmaları sonucunda oluşturulan soru formları, iş araştırma sürecinin hazırlık aşamasında olduğu değerlendirilen üniversite son sınıf öğrencileri ile üniversiteden 1-3 yıl önce mezun olan ve aktif olarak iş arayan yüksek lisans öğrencilerinden oluşan 188.523 kişilik bir örneklemin e-posta adresine gönderilmiş ve 19.894 kullanılabilir soru formu elde edilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları mevcut literatür ışığında incelenmiş ve Türkiye’deki iş araştırma sürecinin, Batılı ülkelerdeki uygulamalardan önemli derecede farklılık gösterdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The use of job search strategies among senior university students and new graduates

In this study, job seeking process, pertaining process's information sources and utilizing intensity of information sources, which are the subjects that have been considerably under-investigated in Turkish literature, is examined. By this means, questionnaire forms developed by comprehensive focus group sessions distributed via e-mails to a sample consists of 188.523 students from both sub-sample of senior students of universities that are presumably on the preparation stage of the job seeking process and of post-graduate students that are graduated from universities 1-3 years ago and that are actively seeking job as well. At the end of survey, 19.894 usable questionnaire forms gathered. Study findings were evaluated in the light of recent literature and job seeking process in Turkey was found to be significantly different from these on Western settings.
