Bu çalışmada son dönem Türk edebiyatının şiir, tiyatro, roman ve hikaye türlerinde eserler veren özgün simalarından Murathan Mungan ' ın masal kavramına yaklaşımı değerlendirilmiştir. Klasik masal anlayışına yeni değerler katan Lal Masalların yazarı, kurmaca masal kavramını örnekleyerek masalları yeni bir anlayışla okuyucuya sunar. Doğu ve batı masallarının motif ve arketiplerini kurmaca masal mantığı çerçevesinde ortaya koyarak anlatılara değişik ivmeler kazandırır.
