Aile Fotoğrafları: Aile Belleğinin Kurgulanmasında Fotoğrafın Rolünü Etnografik Yöntemle İncelemek

Bu çalışma aile fotoğrafları ve aile belleği arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektedir. Aile fotoğrafları,ailelerin gündelik hayatlarının vazgeçilmez bir unsuru olduğu gibi, bu unsur, aile belleğinin oluşturulmasında ve kurgulanmasında önemli bir role sahiptir. Aile belleğinin oluşumundafotoğrafın rolünü anlayabilmek için, bu araştırmada alan araştırması tercih edilmiştir. Araştırmanınörneklemi dahilinde, beş ailenin üyeleriyle görüşmeler yapılmış ve bu ailelerin evlerindeki fotoğrafpratikleri gözlemlenmiştir. Araştırmaya önemli ölçüde katkıda bulunan bir diğer önemli teknik,araştırmacının aile üyeleriyle birlikte onlara ait fotoğraflara bakma etkinliklerine katılmak olmuştur.Bu yazı da araştırmacının saha deneyimlerini temel alarak, yöntemin önemini vurgulamaktadır.

Family Photopraphs: Exploring The Role of Photography in the Construction of Family Memory With the Etnographic Method

This article explores the relation between family photographs and family memory. Family photographs are essential facts in everyday life of families; they play an important role in constructing the family memory. I conducted fieldwork and interviewed members of five families, in addition to participant observation to follow their everday life in their houses as well as their photography practices. An additional technique for this research is participating in the ritual of looking at family photographs. This article emphasizes the importance of the method based on the experiences of the researcher.
