Hicret insanlık tarihinde önemli bir fenomendir. Peygamberler, kahramanlar, kavimler hatta kimi hayvanlar bile tarih boyunca hicret etmişlerdir. Aslında insanlık tarihi hicretle başlamıştır da denebilir. Hicret zorunlu bir tercihtir. Çünkü o son seçenektir. Öte yandan birkaç istisna dışında peygamberlerin hepsi ve din kurucuları da hicret etmişlerdir. Bu anlamda medeniyetler hicretin bir meyvesi olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. İslam medeniyeti de Hz. Muhammed’in hicretinden sonra gelişip serpilmiştir. İslamî hicret aynı zamanda İslamî takvimin de başlangıcıdır.Biz bu yazımızda hicret fenomeni üzerine yarı akademik ve estetik bir makale denemesi yaptık. Bu, çözümden daha çok sorgulamaya dayalı bir deneme oldu.

Migration (or Hijra) is a very important phenomenon in human history. Prophets, heroes, nations and even some animals migrated throughout history. Essentially, it can be said that human history started with migration. Migration is a obligatory preference. Because it is last alternative. On the other hand, all prophets and religion founders had migrated in their life, but exceptions. So we can say that civilizations are fruits of migration. Islamic civilization also had developed and spread after the Prophet’s migration. The calendar year of Islam begins with this migration.        We attempted in this essay to write a semi-academic and aesthetic article about the phenomenon of migration. But it was an inquiry rather than a solution.
