Çamaltı Tuzlası (Sasalı-İzmir) Artemia Populasyonunun Akuakültür Bakımından Potansiyeli

Araştırma sahası, Ege Bölgesinin İzmir ili sınırları içerisinde deniz kıyısında bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’nin en büyük deniz tuzlası olan Çamaltı Tuzlasındaki Artemia popülasyonu, bazı biyolojik ve akuakültür özellikleri yönünden incelenmiştir. 1863 yılında üretime açılan söz konusu tuzla, İzmir ilinin kuzeyinde ve il merkezine 28 km uzaklıktadır. Genel olarak tuzla; I. ve II. tuzla, su depolama alanları ve kristalizasyon havuzları olarak 4 ana kısma ayrılır. Yılda yaklaşık 550000 ton tuz üretilen tuzla, Türkiye toplam tuz üretiminin % 35-40’ını karşılamaktadır. Çalışmada Türkiye’de İzmir Çamaltı tuzlasındaki parthenogenetik Artemia populasyonunun bazı özellikleri açıklanmıştır. Yumurta çapı ortalama 254 µm, nauplius boyu 475 µm ve yetişkin birey boyu 10,60 mm olarak ölçülmüştür. Ayrıca en uygun sıcaklık ve tuzluluk şartlarının 27-30 ºC ve 35-80 ppt olarak tespit edilmiştir. Yumurtaların kuluçkalanma yüzdesi (HP) ortalama % 69, kuluçkalama verimi (HE) 165 x106 yumurta/gr bulunmuştur.
