Günümüzde daha popüler bir yer edinen müzik öğretmenliği giderek bireylerin kendilerini daha iyi ifade edebildikleri bir alan olmaktadır. Müzik öğretmenliği anabilim dallarının öğrenci kaynağı olarak kabul edilen Anadolu Güzel Sanatlar Liseleri’nin de mesleğe yönelmede etkin rolleri olduğu düşünülmektedir. Araştırma 2005-2006 eğitim öğretim yılında müzik öğretmenliği anabilim dallarında okumakta olan öğrencilerin mesleğe yönelme nedenlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. 22 Anabilim dalına ulaşılan araştırmada 498 öğrenciye anket uygulanmış ve elde edilen veriler ışığında müzik öğretmenliğine yönelmek isteyen öğrencilere öneriler getirilmiştir.

The position as a music teacher which becomes increasingly popular nowadays has become a field where individuals can better express themselves. It is also thought that the Anatolian Fine Arts high schools, accepted as the source of music teacher education departments, have a role in the directions to this profession. The research has been carried out in the 2005-2006 academic year in order to identify the reasons as to why the students at the mucic teacher education department have chosen this profession. A total of 22 departments were included in the study and a questionnaire was administered to a total of 498 students and as a result of the data analysis suggestions are made to those students who wish to choose the profession as music teachers.
