Acute Colchicine Intoxication: Case Report

Kolşisin intoksikasyonu nadir, ancak potansiyel olarak yaşamı tehdit eden, toksikolojik acil bir durumdur. Kolşisin çeşitli hastalıkların tedavisinde oldukça etkili olan değerli bir ilaçtır. 17 yaşında bayan hasta 25 mg oral kolşisin alımından 12 saat sonra yoğun bakım ünitesine kabul edildi. Takip ve tedavi süresince ciddi bir komplikasyonla karşılaşılmadı. Bu olguda kolşisin intoksikasyonunun klinik özellikleri ve sonuçlarının tartışılması amaçlandı

Colchicine intoxication is a rare, but potentially life-threatening, toxicologic emergency. Colchicine is a unique drug that is largely effective in treatment of several diseases. A 17year old female patient was admitted to intensive care unit 12 hours after taking 25 mg colchicine. Serious complications were not encountered during the follow up period.
