GERÇEK UMBİLİKAL KORD KİSTİ: OLGU SUNUMU

Umbilikal kord kistleri, fetal kromozomal anomaliler ve fetal yapısal defektler ile ilişkili olması, umbilikal kord kistlerinin hızlı büyümesi durumunda kord damarlarına bası yapması ve fetal distrese yol açabilmesi nedeniyle önemlidir. Bu yazıda 31. gebelik haftasında ultrasonografi ile iki adet umbilikal kord kisti saptanan ve 37. gebelik haftasında sezaryen doğum ile sağlıklı bir erkek bebek doğuran bir olgu sunulması amaçlandı. Doğum sonrası plasenta ve umbilikal kordun histopatolojik incelenmesi sonucunda gerçek allantoik kistler olduğu saptandı. Ek bir urakal patolojisi ve anomalisi saptanmayan yenidoğan, primer eksizyon sonrası taburcu edildi. Sonuç olarak, umbilikal kordun ultrasonografik incelenmesinin, obstetrik ultrasonografinin önemli ve rutin bir parçası olması gerektiği düşüncesindeyiz

True Umbilical Cord Cyst: A Case Report

Umbilical cord cysts are important due to their association with fetal chromosomal abnormalities and fetal structural defects and in case of their rapid growth of umbilical cord cysts they are associated with compression of umbilical vessels and fetal distress. In this article we aimed to present a case with two umbilical cord cysts detected by ultrasonography at 31 weeks of gestation and who had delivered a healthy male fetus by cesarean section at 37 weeks of gestation. Histopathological examination of placenta and umbilical cord after birth revealed that cysts were true allantoic cysts. An additional urachal pathology and anomaly was not observed and the newborn was discharged after primary excision. As a result, we think that ultrasound examination of umbilical cord should be an important and routine part of obstetric ultrasonography.
