“İslâm’da Ruhbanlık Yoktur” Söylemi Etrafında Dînî Otorite ve Ulemâ Üzerine Birkaç Not

The expression, “There is no clergy in Islam”, which is also transmitted as a prophetic tradition, has a special place in the contemporary Islamic and Turkish thought with regard topurgation of the scholars (ulama) and the modification of the conception of religious authority. In this article, this problem is discussed within the framework of the scholars(ulama), caliphate and religious authority.
