Fareseeing that the capitalist systemwill evolve into a new system within the nexr fifry years, Wallerstein thinks that the prevailingscientific paradigm cannot bring a desired change, so according to him the scientific structuresshould also be changed for the sake of the esrablishment of a new system. He advocates theabolishment of the differentiations between the social sciences; and he also recommends a multidirectionalscientific activiry open to value judgments where necessary.
