Intermediate Term Results of Arthroscopy Assisted Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction with Quadrupled Hamstring Tendon Autograft

Objectives: There is an increase in use of otograft in anterior knee reconstruction for the recent years. Quadrupled hamstring tendons are known as the hardest and the most powerful otografts. Our aim is to report the fourth years results of anterior knee reconstruction which is performed with proximal femoral transfix fixation by using quadripled hamstring tendon grafts. Methods: Quadrupled hamstring tendon otografts were used in 96 knees of 96 patients. Subjective, clinical, functional, Telos stress device, radiographic evaluations were applied to all patients at the end of the first and second years. Among 96 patients two were women and 94 were men; 5 patients were professional and 36 patients were amateur sportsman. Mean age was 24 20 to 34 . International Knee Documentation Committee IKDC scoring and a questionaire that consists of Lysholm 2 scoring were used to assess knee function and activity. Results: Ninety percent of patients expressed their reconstructed knees as normal with 100% stability subjectively. Ninety percent of the patients returned to their normal daily activities and life as before the injury. A and B scores were obtained in 82 of 96 patients 85 % as mean IKDC knee score. Mean Lysholm score was found 94. The difference measured by Telos stres device betweeen mean preoperative 13.7 mm and postoperative 2.8 mm laxity grades was statistically significant p
