ÇANDIR ORTA MİYOSEN AMPHICYON MAJOR BLAINVILLE'İ

1973 yılında Omurgalı ekibi tarafından Ankara-Kalecik-Çandır bucağı Hırsızdere mevkiinde yapılan paleontolojik kazıda Hispanalherium, Aceratherium, Gazella, Triceromeryx, Listriodon, Micromeryx, Procervıılus, Progeualla, Plesiogıılo, Pseudaelurus ve Mustela'ya.1 ait fosil materyalle birlikte Türkiye'de ilk defa Amphıcyon majör Biainville türü ele geçmiştir.

AMPHICYON MAJOR BLAINVILLE DISCOVERED IN THE MIDDLE MIOCENE BEDS OF ÇANDIR

During paleontological excavation work carried out by the team of Vertebrate paleontologists of the M.T.A. in 1973, at Hırsızdere, Kalecik County, Çandır Township (Ankara), a specimen of Amphicyon major Blainville was discovered for the first time in Turkey, along with such fossils as Hispanatherium, Acerotherium, Gazella, Triceromeryx, Listriodon, Micromeryx, Procervulus, Progenatta, Plesiogulo, Pseudaelurus and Mustela.1
