15 Temmuz darbe girişimi Türk halkının Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’ın çağrısı sonucu meydanlara inmesi sayesinde önlenmiş oldu. Darbe girişimi gecesi TBMM’de temsil edilen partilerin ve seçmenlerin gösterdikleri tepkiler ve bu tepkilerin şiddeti farklılık göstermiştir. 15 Temmuz’un daha doğru anlaşılması için partilerin ve seçmenlerinin bu tavırlarının analiz edilmesi önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada 15 Temmuz gecesi yaşananlar ve toplumun gösterdiği demokratik direnç Türkiye’nin siyasal kültürü üzerinden izah edilmektedir. Buradan hareketle darbe girişimine karşı verilen mücadelenin Türkiye’nin siyasal kültürüne olan etkisi ele alınacaktır. Böylelikle gelecekte benzer darbe girişimlerinin yaşanması durumunda toplumun göstereceği tepkinin nasıl olacağına ilişkin birtakım öngörülerde bulunma imkânı doğmaktadır

The coup attempt of July 15 was ousted by the Turkish people who went out after the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The reactions of the political parties represented in the TGNA; and of the voters at the night of the coup attempt as well as the intensity of the reactions appeared to be in particular variety. For an appropriate comprehension of July 15, those attitudes of the political parties and their voters should be analyzed. This paper explains the happenings on July 15 and the democratic resistence of the society through the political culture of Turkey. Depending on this explanation, the impact of the struggle against the coup plot over the political culture of Turkey is to be tackled. This analysis hereby provides a path to make some foresights on the potential reactions of the society against similar coup plots if attempted in the future
