In this article, Ryle not only deals with the historical progress of categories in the context of Aristotle, Kant and analytic philosophy but he puts the form dealing with categories through serious critiques in this process. Ryle does not individualize categories from types, and even he deals with how category-propositions and types consist. In a sense, knowing the title of categories is knowing everything about them.
