Ele geçen tabletlerde, Hitit toplumunda "hekim" sıfatı taşıyan bazı kadın isimlerine rastlanmıştır. Tabletlerde ismi geçen bu kadın hekimlerin iyileştirme amaçlı olarak majik tedavi yöntemlerini kullandıkları anlaşılmaktadır. Heinrich Otten ve Christel Rüster'in "'Ärztin' im Hethitischen Schrifttum" başlıklı bu makalesinde, kendilerinden "kadın hekim" olarak bahsedilen Makija marat Sim'al, Mammitum-ummi ve Azzari isimli kadın hekimler ve uyguladıkları yöntemlere yer verilmiştir. Ayrıca bu kadın hekimlerin sadece majik yöntemlerle tedavi uyguladıkları ve tıbbi bir müdahale yapmadıkları görülmektedir. Ancak yeterli belgeye sahip olmadığımız için, bu konuda kesin bir sonuca varmak da mümkün değildir.

Some female names having the capacity of "physician, doctor" in the Hittite society were found out in the tablets acquired. It is understood that the female doctors whose names are mentioned in the tablets used magical treatment methods for medical purposes. This article titled "Ärztin' im Hethitischen Schrifttum" by Heinrich Otten and Christel Rüster deals with female doctors named Makija marat Sim'al, Mammitum-ummi and Azzari who were mentioned to be "female doctors as well as the methods they used. Furthermore it is understood that these female doctors merely applied therapy through magical methods and that they did not conduct any medical intervention. However since we do not have sufficient documents, it is not possible to reach a definite conclusion on the issue.
