Konak Galleria mellonella Linnaeus (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) hemolenf kimyasına indol-3-asetik asitin etkisi

Oksin grubunun en önemli üyelerinden biri olan indol-3-asetik asit (IAA) bitki, mantar ve bakteriler tarafından endojen olarak üretilen bitki büyüme düzenleyicidir. Büyük balmumu güvesi Galleria mellonella, tarımda yaygın olarak kullanılan IAA’ya doğal ortamında maruz kalabilmektedir. Bu nedenle, son yıllarda model organizma olarak kullanılan G. mellonella larvalarının hemolenf kimyasındaki değişikliklere IAA’nın etkileri incelendi. G. mellonella larvalarının diyetlerine IAA’nın farklı dozları (50, 500, 1000, 5000 ve 10000 ppm) eklenerek verildi. IAA hemolenf karbohidrat, lipit ve protein seviyelerinde doza bağlı bir şekilde değişikliğe neden oldu. IAA uygulamasına bağlı olarak, larval hemolenfteki toplam glikojen ve protein miktarında bütün dozlarda azalma belirlenirken, toplam lipit miktarında ise artış gözlendi. Sonuçlarımız IAA uygulamasının böceklerde önemli fizyolojik değişikliklere neden olabileceğini göstermektedir. Bu durum pestisitler kadar bitki büyüme düzenleyicilerin de ekotoksik riskleri üzerinde gerekli çalışmalar yapılması gerektiğini göstermektedir.
