Çin’in Covid-19’la Mücadelesi: Sağlık İpek Yolu ve Küresel Propaganda Savaşları

Küresel salgın Çin ve ABD arasındaki ekonomik ve teknolojik sert güç rekabetine yoğunluk kazandırırken aynı zamanda Covid-19’la mücadeleye verdikleri ekonomik ve politik cevaplar üzerinden bir yumuşak güç yarışı da doğurmuştur. Fakat Çin’in yumuşak gücünü arttırmak için başvurduğu yöntemler kimi zaman propagandaya dönüşmüş ve iki büyük güç arasındaki mücadeleye bilgi ve anlatı savaşları yeni bir alan olarak eklenmiştir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada öncelikle Çin’in küresel salgında yumuşak gücünü arttırmak için izlediği stratejiler Sağlık İpek Yolu ve ortak kader topluluğu kavramları etrafında analiz edilecektir. Ardından Çin’in, hem salgınla mücadelesini dünyaya daha iyi anlatmak hem de bu dönemde Çin’in uluslararası alandaki imajını korumak ve yükseltmek için nasıl bir küresel propaganda ağı yarattığı ele alınacaktır.

China’s Struggle with Covid-19: Health Silk Road and Global Propaganda Wars

While global pandemic has intensified the economic and technological hard power rivalry between China and the United States, it has also spawned a soft power race over their economic and political responses to the fight against Covid-19. However, the methods used by China to increase its soft power have sometimes turned into propaganda and information and narrative wars have been added to the struggle between the two great powers as a new field. In this regard, firstly, the strategies that China follows to increase its soft power in the global pandemic will be analyzed around the concepts of Health Silk Road and community of common destiny. It will then be discussed how China has created a global propaganda network both to better tell its fight against the pandemic to the world and to protect and enhance China's image in the international arena during this period.
