Erken 20. Yüzyıl Dil Felsefesinde Mantıksal Çözümleme

Erken 20. yüzyıl analitik dil felsefesinin oluşumu, o dönemde hızla gelişen standart niceleme mantığının gölgesinde gerçekleşmiştir. Bunun sonucunda, ilk dönem analitik dil felsefecileri felsefenin yöntemi olarak dilsel ifadelerin mantıksal çözümlemesini, hedef dil olarak da standart niceleme kuramının dilini benimsemişlerdir. Ancak, gündelik dil ifadelerinin birinci-derece niceleme kuramında mantıksal çözümlemesi, hem sentaktik hem de semantik açıdan kabul edilemez sonuçlara yol açmaktadır.

Logical Analysis in the Early 20th Century Philosophy of Language

Early 20th century analytic philosophy of language has been developed in the shadow of standard quantificational logic. Therefore, first stage analytic philosophers of language have chosen the logical analysis of linguistic expressions as the method of philosophy and the language of standard quantificational theory as the target language. However, logical analysis of ordinary language sentences in the first-order quantificational theory leads to syntactically and semantically unacceptable results.
