The Companion to Said Nursi Studies

“The Companion to Said Nursi Studies” is that the latest edited book after Ibrahim Abu-Rabi’ (1956-2011) on Bediuzzaman Said Nursi edited by Ian S. Markham and Zeyneb Sayilgan. This compilation aims to explore some important topics and issues on theology, sociology, and politics from Nursi’s perspective. Moreover, the editors introduce Nursi studies to English readers through this present initiative again. It should be noted that Markham is not new in Nursi studies. Previously, he published “An Introduction to Said Nursi: Life, Thought, and Writings” jointly with Suendam Birinci Pirim on ‘life and time of Nursi’, ‘the concept of God’ and also ‘the Qur’an, Nursi’ and ‘Spirituality’, ‘Nursi’s approach to disagreement and pluralism’ and “Engaging with Bediuzzaman Said Nursi: A Model of Interfaith Dialogue” his another unique book on ‘religious diversity’, ‘religious engagement’, ‘interfaith dialogue’ from Nursi’s perspectives, and ‘Muslim-Christian theology’. However, this present volume is considered as a worldwide publication due to its contributors from around the globe. Readers will know different aspects of Nursi studies that is associated with the modern world.
