Amaç: Bu araştırma, Türkiye’de fiziksel tespit uygulamalarını içeren lisansüstü hemşirelik tezlerini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Tanımlayıcı olarak planlanan bu araştırmada, tezlere Yüksek Öğretim Kurumu (YÖK) Ulusal Tez Merkezi veri tabanı taranarak ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni Türkiye’de fiziksel tespit konusundaki tezler, örneklemi ise Türkiye’de fiziksel tespit konusunda 2002- 2022 yılları arasında, hemşirelik alanında yapılmış ve erişime açık olan lisansüstü tezlerdir. Erişim izni olan çalışmaların değerlendirilmeye alınması nedeniyle etik kurul izni gerekmemektedir. Tarama Türkçe dilinde “fiziksel tespit”, “fiziksel kısıtlama” anahtar kelimesiyle 1-20 Kasım 2022 tarihleri arasında yapılmıştır. İzinli ve onaylanmış doktora ve yüksek lisans tezleri taranmıştır. Tarama sonunda Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü Hemşirelik Ana Bilim Dalında konu ile ilgili yapılmış 19 tez belirlenmiştir. Dahil edilme kriterlerine uymayan 73 tez çalışma dışı bırakılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Tezlerden 18’inin yüksek lisans, 1’inin ise doktora düzeyinde yapıldığı görülmüştür. Fiziksel tespit uygulamasını inceleyen ilgili ilk tezin 2002 yılında yapıldığı, büyük çoğunluğunun (n=14) son beş yılda yapılmış olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Lisansüstü tezlerin incelemesinde, çalışmaların %26,3’ünün nitel, yarı deneysel ve karma yöntem çalışması olduğu, %79,7’sinin tanımlayıcı türde yapıldığı saptanmıştır Sonuç: Araştırmada sonuç olarak, Türkiye’de fiziksel tespit uygulamasını konu alan tezlerin son yıllarda artış göstermekle birlikte sayıca yetersiz olduğu; konuya ilişkin deneysel, yarı deneysel çalışmaların artmasının diğer araştırmalara ışık tutacağı düşünülmektedir.

Aim: This research was conducted to examine postgraduate nursing theses that include physical restraint practices in Turkey. Methods: In this descriptive study, theses were reached by scanning the database of the Higher Education Council (YÖK) National Thesis Center. The universe of the research is the theses on physical fixation in Turkey, and the sample is the postgraduate theses on physical fixation in Turkey, which were made between 2002 and 2022 in the field of nursing and are open to access. Ethics committee approval is not required as studies with access permission are included in the evaluation. In the selection of the sample, the "purposive sampling" method was preferred. The search was conducted between 1-20 November 2022 with the keywords "physical restraint" and "physical restraint" in Turkish. -Permitted and approved doctoral and master's theses were scanned. At the end of the screening, 19 theses related to the subject were determined in the Health Sciences Institute Nursing Department. 73 theses that did not meet the inclusion criteria were excluded from the study. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data. Results: It was seen that 18 of the theses were done at the master's level and 1 of them was at the doctoral level. It has been determined that the first thesis examining the physical fixation application was made in 2002, and the majority (n=14) were made in the last five years. In the examination of the graduate theses, it was determined that %26,3% of the studies were semi-experimental and mixed method studies, and 79,7% were descriptive. Conclusion: As a result of the research, it is concluded that the theses on the physical fixation application in Turkey have increased in recent years, but are insufficient in number; It is thought that the increase in experimental and quasi-experimental studies on the subject will shed light on other researches.
