Eğitim Fakültesi Öğrencilerinin Medya Okur-Yazarlık Düzeyleri (İzmir Örneklemi)

Bu çalışmada Eğitim fakültesinde öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının, medya okuryazarlık düzeyleri ve kitle iletişim araçlarından özellikle yeni medya araçları ile olan ilişkileri demografik özellikleri çerçevesinde irdelenmektedir. Çalışma betimsel nitelikte ve tarama modelindedir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi ile Ege Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesinde eğitim gören 705 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Ölçeklerden elde edilen veriler betimleyici analiz teknikleri ile Tek yönlü (One way) Anova Testi ve Scheffe testleri kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; eğitim fakültesi öğrencilerinin medya okuryazarlık düzeylerinin ortanın üstünde olduğu; yaş ve bölüme göre medya okuryazarlık düzeylerinin farklılaşmadığı; ancak, cinsiyet, bilgisayara ve internete sahip olma değişkenlerine göre medya okuryazarlık düzeylerinde farklılaştığı belirlenmiştir.

Media Literacy Levels Of Students In Education Faculty (Izmir Sample)

This study aims at inquiring the Education faculty students' relationship between their media literacy levels, demographic characteristics and the mass media ( the new media).This study is a descriptive survey model. The study group covers 705 prospective teachers in Dokuz Eylül University and Ege University. The data gathered from the surveys were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, One Way Anova Test and Scheffe Test. The findings indicated that Education faculty students' media literacy levels were a little higher than the moderate level. However, the variables such as age and department were not found to be effecting to the media literacy levels. Whereas, the variables of gender, having a computer, and having internet connection were found to be contributing to the media literacy levels of the students.
