Algılanan davranışsal kontrol, ajzen’in teorisinde nasıl konumlanır? alternatif model analizleri

How can perceived behavioral control be positioned in the ajzen’s theory: alternative model analyses

Theory of planned behavior, which is the most widely used and empirically tested social psychological theory by the researchers, has been deriven from the theory of reasoned action by adding it a new variable: perceived behavioral control. Although it has been found out that this variable has a significant contribution to the predictive power of the theory, in the literature, the position of this variable in the model and its role in explaining the behavior are become issues for study. The purpose of this study is to examine perceived behavioral control’s performance in six different models: the model of the theory of reasoned action, three models deriven from the original model of the theory of planned behavior and two alternative models based on new approaches in the literature. Analyses were carried out by using structural equation modeling with Lisrel Program and the best model in explaining the behavior has been determined after comparing the results of the models. In this best model, perceived behavioral control predicts the behavior without the mediation of intention. Limitations and the suggestions for further research are included at the end the study.
