Cooperative Learning Model Supported with Dynamic Mathematics Software Geogebra
The aim of this study is to explain the cooperative learning model supported with dynamic mathematics software which can be used in the teaching and learning of numbers and algebra learning area. For that purpose, the fundamentals of cooperative learning model and dynamic mathematics software were examined within the framework of relevant literature. The model was considered and evaluated within the framework of high school mathematics curriculum. In the model, GeoGebra, one of the dynamic mathematics software, was used as information and communication technology and student teams-achievement divisions was utilised as cooperative learning model. Considering the evaluations carried out, it was believed that using cooperative learning model supported with dynamic mathematics software in the teaching of numbers and algebra learning area would provide an active learning environment for students where conceptual learning is at the forefront, offer opportunities for students to study the multiple representations of algebraic concepts, and make contributions to students’ affective development
