Detection Of Eye Region In Images Using A Single Perceptron
In this paper, we aim to find the eye region in images that contain frontal face images taken with a webcam. We used one neuron for this purpose and proved that it performs better when compared the other two well known methods. We have used two databases that contain face images of which the size of the face changes from one image to another. The images are taken under various illumination conditions to make the detection task challenging. Simulation results showed that our method based on artificial neural networks performs %70 and % 90 correct detection rates.
