Sisteamin, putresin ve sisteamin-putresin kombinasyonunun bazı bakteriler üzerine etkileri

Bakteriyel hastalıkların tedavisinde kullanılabilecek yeni antimikrobiyal ilaçların keşfi için sürekli çalışmalar yapılmaktadır. Bu araştırmada, bazı mikroorganizmalar üzerine, sisteamin, putresin ve sisteamin-putresin kombinasyonunun etkileri araştırıldı. Araştırmada, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pasteurella multocida ve Pseudomonas aeruginosa suşları kullanıldı. Minimal inhibitör konsantrasyonun (MİK) tespit edilmesinde modifiye Broth Dilüsyon yönteminden yararlanıldı. Dilüsyonların hazırlanmasında ve besi yeri olarak Mueller-Hinton Broth (Becton Dickinson, 211443) kullanıldı. Sisteaminin 0.5 μg/ml konsantrasyonda B. subtilis, 16 μg/ml konsantrasyonda P. aeruginosa’nın üremesini inhibe ettiği, ancak diğer mikroorganizmalar üzerine etkisinin olmadığı görüldü. Putresin dilüsyonlarının test edilen mikroorganizmalar üzerine etkisine rastlanmadı. Sisteamin-putresin kombinasyonunun (1:1) ise E. coli’nin üremesi üzerine etkisi bulunmazken, 16 μg/ml konsantrasyonda B. subtilis, P. multocida, Ps. aeruginosa ve S. aureus’un üremesini engellediği tespit edildi.

Effects of cysteamine, putrescine and cystemine-putrescine combination on some bacterium

Studies are made consistently for discovery of new antimicrobial drugs used to treat bacterial diseases. In the present study effects of cysteamine, putrescine and cysteamine-putrescine combinations were investigated on some microorganisms. Standart strains of Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pasteurella multocida and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were used in this study. Modified Broth Dilution Method was utilized to detect minimal inhibition concentration (MIC). Mueller- Hinton Broth (Becton Dickinson, 211443) was used as medium for reproduction and dilution. 0.5 μg/ml concentration of cysteamine inhibited growth of B. subtilis, 16 μg/ml concentration of cysteamine inhibited growth of P. aeruginosa but there was no effect on other microorganisms. There was no effect on the microorganisms tested in dilution of putrescine. It is observed that cysteamine -putrescine mixture (1:1) has no effect on growth of E. coli though 16 μg/ml concentration of the mixture inhibit the growth of B. subtilis, P. multocida, Ps. aeruginosa and S. aureus.
