MULTI-DIMENSIONAL PANEL DATA GRAVITY MODEL: AN ANALYSIS OF APEC COUNTRIES
The traditionalgravity model of international trade has beenthrough many changes in order to develop andanswer new research questions. Taking thisdevelopment into account this paperinvestigates a more enhanced panel dataapproach by extending the classic approach byallowing for both indiviual and time effects tobe apparent in order to capture country specificand time effects with a multidimensional paneldata model for APEC countries. By using a threedimensional panel gravity model with a leastsquares dummy variable approach we were ableto identify countries with stronger propensitiesto import and export.
