Pseudemys scripta elegans’IN AKVARYUM ORTAMINDA Lemna minor L. ile BESLEME İMKANLARI ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

A STUDY on FEEDING OPPURTINIES of Pseudemys scripta elegans FED WITH Lemna minor L. in AQUARIUM

In this study, the effect of Lemna minor on the lenght, weight and puberty of Pseudemysscripta elegans was investigated. For this reason, the Lemna samples were collected fromthree different parts of Kütahya Province and dried in the laboratuary. The turtles, in firstaquarium were fed with only L. minor (Group I). The second ones were intensively fedwith special feed (Group II) which brought from petshop. The third ones were restrictivelyfed with the feed (Group III). The last group was fed with special feed and L. minor atalternate days (Group IV). By this way, totally 80 turtles were used. As a result it wasdetermined that, the turtles, fed by L. minor + special feed were heavier that the others.
