THE PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF CONDUCTIVE COMPOSITE FILMS OF POLYANILINE AND POLY(VINYL ACETATE)

Polyaniline/poly(vinyl acetate (undoped PAn/PVAc) composite films were prepared by doping of films obtained bycasting of the solution of undoped PAn and PVAc in dimethylformamide (DMF). The electrical conductivity offilms was increased up to 60/40 PAn/PVAc ratio and then level off. The change of the conductivity of films withfilm thickness and doping time was investigated. The maximum conductivity was obtained by doping of undopedfilms in aqueous 2.0 M HCl solution with one hour. Surface morphology of coductive PAn/PVAc composite filmswas examined by SEM techinique. The characterization of composite films was also performed by conductivitymeasurements, FTIR and TGA techniques.
