McNemar test is used to compare paired proportions. It can be used to analyze retrospective case-control studies, where each case is matched to a particular control. It can also be used to analyze experimental studies where to compare the proportions of the same subjects before and after intervention and also used to determine the consistency of two different diagnostic methods on same subjects. A p value of less than 0.05 shows that the observed proportions of before or after intervention, or the consistency of two different diagnositic methods are statistically different from each other.
