Oral cavity tuberculosis: A case report
Orificial tuberculosis, a rare form of cutaneous tuberculosis, represents 2% of cutaneous tuberculosis and 0.1-1% of all clinical forms of tuberculosis. The primary form of oral tuberculosis presents as painless ulcer with regional lymph-adenopathy at young patients whereas the secondary form occurs at every age and frequently presents with pulmonary tuberculosis. Mere, a secondary form of oral cavity tuberculosis in association with miliary spread from pulmonary tuberculosis a 29 years old man had a non-healing ulcer on his lower lip which was not diagnosed for three years is presented in the view of literature. /Is a conclusion, oral cavity tuberculosis should be kept in mind in the differential diagnosis of non-healing oral lesions and the presence of pulmonary tuberculosis should be screened in such cases.
