Dişi Bir Kedide Piyometra ile Birlikte Seyreden Uterus Sarkomu Olgusu

On dört yaşında, kısırlaştırılmamış, 3 kg ağırlığında, melez ırk dişi bir kedi kırmızı pembe renkte vajinal akıntı, kusma, iştahsızlık, karında şişlik, poliüri ve polidipsi şikayetleriyle İstanbul Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Doğum ve Jinekoloji Anabilim Dalı Kliniğine getirildi. Yapılan ön muayene sonrasında, hastanın hemogram ve biyokimyasal parametreleri değerlendirildi. Alanin aminotransferaz (ALT), aspartat aminotransferaz (AST), üre, kreatinin, kolesterol ve gama glutamil transferaz (GGT) değerlerinde artış ve polisitemi saptandı. Ultrasonografik muayenede piyometra teşhis edildi ve uterusta patolojik oluşumdan şüphelenildi. Ovaryohisterektomi sonrasında alınan dokular histopatolojik inceleme için İstanbul Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalına gönderildi. Histopatolojik inceleme sonucunda; uterusta malign mezenşimal tümör (sarkom) ve kistik endometriyal hiperplazi piyometra kompleks (KEH-P) saptandı. Sonuç olarak kedilerde nadiren rastlanılan uterus malign mezenşimal tümörlerinin piyometra ile birlikte seyredebileceği ve operatif olarak başarıyla sağaltılabileceği tespit edildi.

Uterine Sarcoma with Pyometra Complex in a Queen

A 14 year old, sexually intact, 3 kg in body weight, mixed breed queen was presented to Clinic of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Istanbul University with pink-red vaginal discharge, abdominal extension, anorexia, vomiting, polyuria and polydipsia. Hemogram and biochemical analyses revealed increased alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), urea, creatinine, gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) and cholesterol levels as well as polycytemia. Ultrasonographic examination revealed pyometra and an intrauterine mass was suspected. Resected uterus and ovaries were examined at the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Istanbul University. Histopathological examination confirmed a malignant mesenchymal tumor (sarcoma) and cystic endometrial hyperplasia pyometra complex (CEH-P). It was concluded that malignant mesenchymal pathologies of uterus which are rarely seen in cats, can occur together with pyometra and they can be treated successfully with surgery.
