İnvaziv mantar hastalıklarının mikolojik tanısı

İnvaziv mantar infeksiyonları, günümüzde özellikle riskli konumdaki immünosupressif hastalar açısından önemli bir morbidite ve mortalite nedeni olmaya devam etmektedir. İnfeksiyonun çok hızlı ilerlemesi ve tanımlanmasındaki güçlükler sonucunda kesin tanı çoğunlukla otopsi esnasında konur. Mortalitenin % 40-70'lere ulaşmış olması erken ve gerçekçi laboratuvar testlerine olan gereksinimin ne denli önemli olduğunu çarpıcı bir biçimde vurgulamaktadır. Bu derlemede invaziv mikoz etkeni olan/olabilen mantarlar ve laboratuvar tanı testlerinden söz edilmiştir.

Mycological diagnosis of invasive mycoses

Nowadays, invasive mycoses still continue to be the most important cause of morbidity and mortality particularly in immunosuppressed patients. Due to quick progress and difficulty in defining the infection, definite diagnosis is possible mostly during autopsy application. It has strikingly been shown that fast and reliable laboratory tests have great importance for early diagnosis of the infection since the rate of mortality reached to 40-70%. In this article, the fungi that are or could be responsible agents of invasive mycoses and their laboratory diagnostic tests are reviewed.
