Aile İşletmelerinde Aile Kültürününün İç Girişimcilik Eğilimleri Üzerine Etkisi: Afyon Denizli-Uşak Örneği

Genel ekonomi içinde büyük bir yere sahip olan aile işletmeleri çeşitli açılardan analiz edilmektedir. Aile işletmelerini yalnızca maliyet avantajı, yenilikçi olma, pazar payı gibi başarı ölçütleri ile değerlendirilmesi başarı ve başarısızlıkların temel nedenini açıklamada yetersiz kalmaktadır. Bu nedenle aile işletmelerinin yaşam seyrini iyi anlama, ancak girişimci ailelerin sahip olduğu kültürel özelliklerin iyi anlaşılması ile mümkün olacaktır. Çünkü girişimci ailelerin kültürel özellikleri ile girişimcilik eğilimleri arasında doğrusal bir ilişki olduğu ileri sürülmektedir. Kaynak temelli yaklaşıma göre aile işletmelerinin sahip olduğu kültür, işletmelere sürdürülebilir rekabet avantajı için gerekli girişimsel özellikler kazandıran bir stratejik kaynak olarak görülmektedir. Bu çalışma; “aile işletmelerindeki girişimcilerin sahip oldukları kültürel özelliklerin, işletmelerin iç girişimcilik eğilimlerini etkilediği” varsayımını test etmek üzere Afyon-Denizli-Uşak illerinde imalat sektörlerinde faaliyet gösteren 351 aile işletmesinde yapılan bir alan araştırmasını içermektedir. Araştırma bulguları aile işletmelerinin sahip olduğu kültürel yapının girişimcilik eğilimlerini etkilediği varsayımını doğrulamaktadır.

The Effect of Organizational Culture on Entrepreneurial Orientation in Family-Owned Businesses: A Research in Afyonkarahisar, Denizli and Uşak

Family-owned businesses whicht have very important place within the economy have been analyzed in various ways. Evaluating the family-owned businesses just in terms of performance indicators such as cost advantages, innovations and market share is inadequate to show basic causes behind their achievement and failure. Therefore, to understand perfectly the life cycle of family owned-firms is based on mainly understanding of family entrepreneurs’ cultural features. Because it is argued that there is a linear relation between cultural features of family entrepreneurs and their entrepreneurial orientation. According to resource-based view, organizational culture of family owned businesses as a strategic resource that gains a sustainable competitive advantage to them by promoting entrepreneurial features. This study tests assumption that cultural features of intrapreneurs in family-owned businesses have affects on the corporate entrepreneurship orientation of these businesses. It included a field research which was done in the 351 family-owned manufacturing businesses in Afyon-Denizli-Uşak provinces. The results confirm research assumption that cultural structure of family-owned businesses influence their entrepreneurial orientation.
