Modern Resmin Gelişiminde Vollard Sanat Galerisi ve Ambroise Vollard

Araştırmada amaç; Galerici ve sanat simsarı olan AmbroiseVollard’ın modern sanatın oluşmasında oynadığı önemli rolü irdelemektir. Vollard, 19 yaşında hukuk eğitimi almak için Paris’e gelmiş, hukukçu olmaktan vazgeçerek sanat tüccarlığına başlamıştır ve 20. Yüzyıl Modern Resmin Fransa’daki en önemli sanat simsarlarından birisi olmuştur. 1883’de açtığı Vollard adlı sanat Galerisinde Cézanne, Renoir, Picasso gibi birçok ressamın eserlerinin ticaretini yapmıştır. Vollard, Yaşadığı dönemde Modern resmin ve sanatçılarının tanınmasında etkili olmuş önemli isimlerdendir. Modern resmin önemli isimlerinin pek çoğu Ambroise Vollard ve galerisi ile yolları kesişmiştir. Vollard aynı zamanda sergi açtığı sanatçıların bazılarına katalog hazırlamış, kitap editörlüğü de yapmıştır. O dönemde pek çok genç sanatçıya cesaret vererek destek olmuş bir isimdir. Bu açıdan yaklaşıldığında günümüz sanatında da önemli bir yere sahip olan galericilik ve sanat piyasasının başlangıcını çözümlemek günümüzde var olan sistemi de anlamamıza yardımcı olacaktır. 1939 yılında bir trafik kazası sonucu hayatını kaybeden simsar, ardında birçok sanatçıya ait eserler bırakmıştır.

Vollard Art Gallery and Ambroise Vollard at Modern Painting’s Development

The aim in the study is to scrutinise the important role gallerist and art dealer Abroise Vollard played in the creation of modern art. Vollard, came to Paris at 19 to have law education, gave up on being jurist, started art dealing and became one of the most important art dealers at 20th Century Modern Art in France. He dealt in many works of painters like Cézanne, Renoir, Picasso at his Vollardart gallery which he opened at 1883. Vollard is one of the names that was effective at his time on the recognition of modern painting and its artists.Most of the important names’ of modern painting roads are crossed with Ambroise Vollard and his gallery. Vollardalso prepared catalogues for some of the names he exhibited, made the editorship of books. He is name that encouraged many young artists at that time. Approaching the subject from this point of view, analyzing the beginning of art dealing and art marketwhich has an important place also in today’s art will help us understand the system of today.Art dealer who lost his life as a result of a traffic accident in 1939, left works of many artists behind.
