Politikada Yeni Ruhban Sınıfı: Siyasa ve İkna Uzmanları Olarak Politik Profesyoneller

Profesyonellik ve profesyoneller uzun zamandır farklı disiplinlerin ilgisini çekmiştir. Günümüzde de modern demokrasilerin ve politika biliminin en önemli etoslarından biridir. Politik alanda ilk kez Max Weber tarafından meslekten politikacı tipini tanımlamak üzere kullanılmıştır. Bu ilk dönem profesyonellere, 20. yüzyılın ikinci yarısından itibaren ekonomik alanda edindikleri deneyimleri politikaya uyarlayan, pazarlama stratejisine denk düşen bir politika kavrayışını yaygınlaştıran yeni türden profesyoneller eklenmiştir. Genel olarak politika bilimi profesyonelleri, politik kararların ve uygulamaların meşruluğunun seçimler dışındaki ikinci kaynağı saymış, iki ana paradigma etrafında tartışmıştır. Çoğulculuk egemen yaklaşım olma özelliğini sürdürse de, politik profesyonellerin incelenmesi konusunda eleştirel kuram daha doğru bir çözümleme çerçevesi sunmaktadır

New Clerical Class in the Politics: Political Professionals as Experts of Policy and Persuasion

Professionalism and professionals attracted the attention of various disciplines for a long time. They are also one of the most important ethos of modern democracies and political science. In the political field, the term of professionals was first used by Max Weber to define the type of politician by profession. Since the second half of the 20th century, this first period notion of professionals embraced a new type of professionals who had adapted their experiences which gained in the economic field to the politics and had spreaded a new understanding of politics which is equivalent to marketing strategy. In general, political science considered the professionals as the second source of political decisions and practices following the elections. Moreover, political science discussed this issue around two main paradigms. Even if the Pluralism remains the dominant approach, critical theory offers a more accurate analysis framework in the study of political professionals
