Medya Kullanımı ve Politik Katılım: Aracı Değişken Modeli Analizi

Katılımcı siyasette medyanın etkisi her zaman önemli olmuştur.

Media Use and Political Participation: Mediation Analysis

Media effect always becomes an important item for political participation. Conventional news resources and online news resources triggered political efficacy to encourage citizen's participation in politics. In this study, the role and the effect of media use examined and analyzed using political efficacy as a mediating variable. Quantitative data has been derived through a questionnaire carried out with the participation of 300 people from an almost different age, income groups, and educational levels. The analysis conducted using Barron and Kenny’s mediation model. The results indicate that media use has a significant relationship with political efficacy and political efficacy has a significant relationship with political participation. Also, results indicate that media use has a relatively partial indirect effect on political participation.
