The Effects of Different Cultivation Environments on the Characteristics of Rock Hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis subsp. Chionophilus)

This research was carried out in unheated green-house at in Kahramanmaraş Sutçu İmam UniversityGoksun Vocational High School Application Garden,Goksun Nature Conservation and National Parks ConservationGarden and Kahramanmaras Kapıcam Ataturk Nature Park in 2015-2016 winter-spring-summer period to determinethe effects on some morphological development of rock hyacinths growing at different altitudes. The bulbs with4.00 cm diameter and taken from nature of Hyacinthus orientalis subsp. chionophilus as plant material were usedin this study.The experiment was designed as a randomized plot design with 3 replicates and 15 hyacinth were used for eachreplicate. All bulbs were planted in depth of 6.00 cm. Plant size, leaf width, number of leaves and number of flowerswere obtained and these data were tested with variance and relation test. As a result of the analyzes, it was foundthe altitude of the plant is different on leaf width, piece and number of flower. As a result of the analyzes, altitude;It was determined that the plant has a difference on leaf width piece and number of Flowers . It was determined thatthe plant was between 10.31-23.42 cm, the number of leaves was 4.20-5.46, the leaf width was 11.72-14.39 mmand the number of flowers was 7.20-10.93. The purpose of this study is to give information about morphologicaldevelopments of the rock hyacinths which grow at different altitudes, the rock hyacinth which is the flag type ofKahramanmaras
