Effetcts of Different Sowing Dates on The Oil Quality of Some Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) Genotypes

This study was carried out to determine the effect of different sowing time on seed yield and qualityin four sunflower cultivars grown conditions of Diyarbakır in 2015. The experiment was arranged in split plot trialdesign with three replication. In the study, two different sowing dates (early and late) and four Sunflower cultivars(Sanay MR, Sanbro, Sirena ve Tarsan 1018) were used as material. The content of saturated and unsaturated fattyacids in the sunflower was investigated in the study. The result showed that sowing date, variety and sowing timex variety interaction affected no-significantly oil rate but sowing date affected significantly palmitic, palmitoleicand oleic/linoleic rate. Significant sowing date x genotypes interaction was obserwed. The highest linoleic valueswerefound at late sowing by Sanbro (62.12%) and Sirena (62.49%) genotypes, in adition to, the highest oleic valueswere determinated at early sowing by Tarsan 1018 (35.79%) genotypes.
