Orkideler keşfedildiği 1800’lü yıllardan günümüze kadar süs bitkileri arasında hala en pahalı ve en çok ilgi gören bitkilerdir. Bu çalışmada; orkidenin genel özellikleri, Türkiye orkideleri ve bunların mevcut durumları hakkında çeşitli kaynaklardan elde edilen bilgilere yer verilmiştir.

Orchids have been the most desirable and expensive plants among the ornamental plants since they were discovered in 1800s. In this study; the information from various literatures about the general characteristics of orchids, Turkey’s orchids and the current situation of them were given place.
