Hemşirelikte hayvan araştırmaları

İnsan sağlığının iyileştirilmesine ve korunmasına yönelik olarak tamamlayıcı tedavilerde ve laboratuar deneylerinde hayvan araştırmaları yürütülmektedir. Hemşirelik alanında Türkiye’de henüz hayvan destekli tedavi ve deneysel hayvan modelleri kullanımı konusunda araştırmalar mevcut değildir. Bu makalenin amacı hemşirelikte hayvan destekli tedaviler ve deneysel hayvan araştırmaları konusunda hemşire araştırmacıların farkındalıklarını artırmak ve bilgilendirmektir. Hemşirelik alanında yürütülen araştırmalarda da insanlarda denenemeyecek pek çok girişim mevcuttur. Hemşirelikte yürütülen araştırmalar çoğunlukla tanımlayıcı ve yarı deneysel tipte yürütülen çalışmalardır. Gelişen çağla birlikte hemşirelik mesleğinden beklentilerin karşılanabilmesi için deneysel araştırmalara gereksinim artmaktadır. Deneysel araştırmaların önemli bir bölümünü hayvan araştırmalarının oluşturması nedeniyle gelecekte hemşirelerin hayvan araştırmalarına yönelmesi gerekebilir. Bu bağlamda, hayvan destekli tedaviler de hemşirelik uygulamalarına yön verebilir.

Animal research in nursing

Animal researches have been conducted in complementary therapies and laboratory experiments to improve and protect human health. Yet, there are no researches on animal assisted therapies and experimental animal models in the field of nursing in Turkey. The aim of the present study was to raise awareness of the nurse researchers and inform them about the animal assisted therapies and experimental animal researches in nursing.
