Türkiye' Çocuk İşgücünü Belirleyen Etkenler: Kişisel ve Ailevi Faktörler
Bu çalışma Türkiye'de çocuk işgücünü belirleyen faktörleri saptamak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Özellikle, çocuk işgücü ile ebeveynlerin eğitim düzeyi, geliri ve diğer hanehalkı özellikleri arasındaki ilişkiler incelenmiştir. Ampirik analiz, Devlet İstatistik Enstitüsü (DİE) tarafından 1999 yılında yapılan çocuk işgücü anketiyle elde edilen veriler esas alınarak yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, çocuğun yaşı, ebeveynlerin eğitim düzeyi, ailedeki çocuk sayısı, annenin istihdamı ve yerleşim yerinin (kır veya kent olması) çocuk işgücünü belirleyen önemli faktörler olduğu saptanmıştır.

Factors Determining Child Labor in Turkey: Personal and Family-Related Factors This article addresses the issue of determinants of child labor in Turkey. Especially, the relationship between child labor and parental education level, income and other household characteristics is investigated. The empirical analysis is based on the child labor surveys in'Turkey. The analysis shows that child's age, parental education level, number of children in the household, mother's employment and region of residence (urban_or rural) are important determinants of child labor.
