İş letmeciliğin geldiği nokta, kademelerinazaldığı, güçlendirilmiş personelin öneminin arttığı bir çalış ma ortamıgerektirmektedir. Personel güçlendirme, 1980ler sonrasında yaygınla ş an birkavram olup çalış anlarda güçsüzlük hissine neden olabilecek durumların ortadankaldırılarak, bireylerin öz-yeterlilik duygularını artırmaya yönelik çabalarıkapsamaktadır. Örgütlerde statüleri ve kimlikleri etkileyen fiziksel semboller, iletilen mesajlar ve anlamlarla, bireylerin kendilerini psikolojik olarakgüçlendirilmiş hissetmesi üzerinde etkili olabilecektir. Çalış mada kurulan teorikba ğlantılar doğrultusunda, gelecekte yapılacak araş tırmalarda test edilmek üzerebir önerme geliş tirilmiş tir.

The conceptual study of the relationship between physical symbols and psychological empowerment

In this study, the relationship between the symbols in/within theorganizations and the psychological empowerment is examined. Among thephysical symbols that are used in the organizations are dresses and props, thedesign of physical landscape and office, the technology and dramaturgical props.Physical symbols, like the language, transmit meanings and messages to theemployees. The point that business administration reached requires a workenvironment in which the hierarchial levels decrease and the importance ofempowered staff increases. Empowerment is a concept that has been wide spreadafter 1980s and includes efforts to prevent situations that may cause the weakness of the employees and thereby to increase the self efficacy ofindividuals. In this way, the physical symbols in the organizations throughtransmitted meanings and messages may have an impact on individuals to feelthemselves empowered psychologically. By the theoretical relationships set up inthe study, a proposal was developed to be tested in the further research.
