Bakla Tepe Erken Tunç Çağı I Dönemi Obsidyen Atölyesi

Early Bronze Age Obsidian Workshop at Bakla Tepe

The excavations at the Early Bronze Age obsidian workshop of Bakla Tepe yielded 88 pieces of obsidian. The techno-typological analysis shows that the obsidian was brought to site in form of blocks, and the knapping took place at this workshop. These obsidian artifacts recovered from the area show the reduction sequence. The artifacts consisted of a core, a core tablet, debitages, crested blades, blanks and a biface point. All these artifacts have parallels in the settlements which are situated in the Aegean world.
