Mülkiyet Haklarının Ekonomik Büyüme Üzerindeki Rolü: Ampirik Bir Uygulama

Mülkiyet haklarının ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisinin araştırıldığı çalışmada Meksika, Türkiye, Endonezya ve Nijerya için 2007-2017 dönemine ait Kişi Başı Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hasıla (KBGSYİH), Doğrudan Yabancı Yatırımlar (DYY) ve Uluslararası Mülkiyet Haklarıİndeks (IPRI) değişkenleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre göre doğrudan yabancı sermaye yatırımları vemülkiyet hakları değişkenleri kişi başı gayrisafi yurtiçi hasıla üzerinde pozitif etkiye sahiptir. Öte yandan kısa dönemde doğrudanyabancı sermaye yatırımları ve mülkiyet hakları değişkenlerinden ayrı ayrı kişi başı gayrisafi yurtiçi hâsılaya nedensellik olduğusonucuna varılmıştır. Yapılan araştırma, çalışma kapsamında ele alınan ülkelerin kalkınma süreçlerinde mülkiyet haklarının güvencealtına alınmasının son derece önemli olduğunu göstermektedir.

The Role of Property Rights on Economic Growth: An Empirical Application

This study have used per capita GDP, Foreign Direct Investments and International Property Right Index variables for investigating impact of property rights on economic growth for Mexico, Turkey, Indonesia and Nigeria for the 2007-2017 period. According to the results, foreign direct investment and property rights variables have a positive effect on GDP per capita. On the other hand, causality tests has shown in short term there is separately causality from foreign direct investments and property rights to economic growth. The research shows that it is very important to guarantee the property rights in the development processes of the countries covered in the study
