Bir Makrodaktili Vakası

Makrodaktili el veya ayak parmaklarının bir veya birkaçının büyüklüğü ile karakterize, nadir görülen bir hastalıktır. Makrodaktilinin tedavisi cerrahidir. Bu yazıda sol ayak 1. ve 2. parmaklarında makrodaktilisi olan hastayı sunmayı amaçladık. 19 yaşında bayan hasta sol ayak 1. ve 2. parmaklarında irilik, ayakkabı giyememe şikayeti ile kliniğimize başvurdu. Hastada aynı zamanda sol ayağının görüntüsünden dolayı psikolojik bozuklukta mevcuttu. Ray ampütasyon operasyonu uygulandı. Ameliyat sonrası bir sorunla karşılaşılmadı. Hastamıza uyguladığımız ray ampütasyonu estetik görünüm ve fonksiyonellik açısından iyi bir seçenek gibi görünmektedir. Ampütasyon operasyonu hastaların emosyonel durumunu olumsuz etkilemesine rağmen bizim hastamızda mutluluğa sebep olmuştur.

A Macrodactyly Case

Macrodactyly is an uncommon disease which is characterized with the abnormal enlargement of one or a few fingers or toes. The treatment of macrodactyly is surgery. In this article, we aimed to present a patient who had macrodactyly in the first and second toes on her left foot. The female patient, who was 19 years old, applied to the clinic with the complaints like largeness in her left first and second toe and not putting her shoes on. Also, she had psychological disorder due to image of her left foot. Ray amputation operation was performed. No post-op problem was observed. Ray amputation, which is applied also to the patient we presented, seems as a good option in terms of both aesthetical and functional aspects. Besides, the amputation operation, which negatively affects patient’s emotional condition, created happiness in our patient.
