Tarımsal yayım, üretim faktörlerinin etkin kullanılarak tarımsal üretimin artırılması, insan kaynağını geliştirerek üretim faktörlerini rasyonel kullanma, ülkenin yetersiz kaynak ve fınansal olanaklarının etkin kullanılması ve bölgeler arası gelişmişlik farklılıklarının azalmasında önemli rol oynamaktadır. Yayım elemanları bu konularda üreticileri eğitirken farklı öğretim yöntemleri kullanmaktadır. Öğretim yöntemleri yayım hizmetinin başarısında etkilidir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada, Artova ilçesindeki tarımsal yayım uygulamaları değerlendirilmiştir. Uygulamada görülen aksaklıklar ve karşılaşılan sorunlar tespit edilmiş ve bu sorunlara ilişkin çözüm yollan saptanmıştır. 1991-97’de Artova ilçesinde tarımsal yayım çalışmalarındaki sorunların Türkiye’deki tarımsal yayımın sorunlarıyla paralellik gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.

Agricultural extension plays an important role in increasing agricultural production by using the production factors efficiently, exploiting the production factors by developing human resources, using the country’s limited resources and financial supplies efficiently and decreasing the developmental discreapencies among the region. Extension staff use different education methods while they educate farmers on those issues. Education methods effect the success of extension service. In this study, the extension studies in Artova county were evaluated with respect to the above issues. The problems faced in the application were noted and some solutions to these problems were determined. It was found out that the problems in the agricultural extension studies conducted in Artova county in 1991-97 period had parallels with the problems in the agricultural extension studies in general in Turkey.
