BİTÜMÜN ÖZELLİKLERİNİN ORGANİK ESASLI MAGNEZYUM KATKI MADDESİ İLE GELİŞTİRİLMESİ
Bu çalışmada, sentezlenen organik esaslı magnezyum bileşiği ile bitümün modifiye edilmesi ve katkı maddesinin bitümün reolojik özelliklerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Katkı maddesinin etkisi viskozite, penetrasyon, yumuşama noktası, dinamik kesme reometresi (DSR), döner ince film etüvü (RTFOT), basınçlı oksidasyon kabı (PAV), çubuk eğme reometresi (BBR), fark taramalı kalorimetre (DSC) ve diferansiyel yüzey analizi (DSA) testleri ile incelenmiştir. Organik esaslı magnezyum bileşiği bitümün penetrasyonunu arttırmış, yumuşama noktasını azaltmıştır. Aynı zamanda yüzey gerilimini de azaltarak bitümün agregayı kaplama yeteneğini arttırmıştır. Performansa ilişkin Nicholson soyulma ve Marshall testleri uygulanmıştır. Deneysel çalışmaların sonuçlarına göre sentezlenen katkı maddesinin bitüm-agrega ara yüzeyindeki adezyon özelliğini iyileştirerek bitümün soyulma direncini arttırdığı belirlenmiştir.
IMPROVEMENT OF PROPERTIES OF BITUMEN BY ORGANIC-BASED MAGNESIUM ADDITIVE
In this study, synthesized organic-based magnesium compound was used for the modification of bitumen and the effect of the additive on the rheological properties of bitumen was investigated. The effects of the additive were examined by viscosity, penetration, softening point, dynamic shear rheometer (DSR), rolling thin film oven test (RTFOT), pressure aging vessel (PAV), bending beam rheometer (BBR), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and differential surface analysis (DSA) tests. Organic-based magnesium compound increased penetration and decreased softening point of the bitumen. Moreover, it increased aggregate coating ability of bitumen by lowering its surface tension. Nicholson stripping and Marshall Tests were applied related to performance. According to the results of the experimental studies, the synthesized additive was determined to increase stripping resistance of the bitumen by improving adhesion property at the bitumen-aggregate interface.
