Bu araştırma Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının Topluma Hizmet Uygulamaları dersine yönelik görüşlerini tespit etmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma 2008-2009 eğitim öğretim yılında Gazi Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenliğinde öğrenim gören 3. sınıf öğretmen adayları ile yapılmıştır. 3. sınıf öğretmen adayları ile yapılmasının nedeni ise öğretmen adaylarının bu dersi ilk defa almalarıdır. 17 maddeden oluşan beş seçenekli derecelendirilmiş anket formundaki seçenekler “Kesinlikle Katılmıyorum”, “Katılmıyorum” , “Kararsızım” , “Katılıyorum”, “Kesinlikle Katılıyorum” şeklinde sıralanmaktadır. Araştırmanın sonucunda öğretmen adayları dersin amaç ve içeriğini kapsayan konularda olumlu görüş belirtmişlerdir.

This research was carried out in order to find out the views of social sciences teacher candidates about the practices in social services lesson. This research was carried out with the 3rd grade teacher candidates who were educated in Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education, Primary Education Social Sciences Teaching Programme in 2008 – 2009 academic year. The reason why this research was carried out with the 3rd grade teacher candidates is that they were taught this lesson for the first time. The alternatives in the 5 – alternative, graded questionnaire form which was composed of 17 items were as “I strongly disagree”, “I disagree”, “I am not sure”, “I agree”, “I strongly agree”. As a result of the study, it has been found out that the teacher candidates find the Practices in Social Services Lesson very useful. Of reearch objectives and content covering topics from teachers reported pozitive.
