Araştırmada okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin, fen etkinliklerine ilişkin yeterlilikleri bazı değişkenlere göre incelenmiştir. Bu değişkenler öğretmenin yaş, kıdem durumu, görev yaptığı okul türü ve mezun olduğu okuldur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, kişisel bilgi formu ve araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen 29 maddeden oluşan , “ Okul Öncesi Öğretmenlerinin Fen Etkinliklerine İlişkin Yeterliliklerini Belirleme Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini Ankara ili merkezdeki resmi ve özel okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında görev yapmakta olan toplam 1461 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise evrenden random yöntemi ile seçilmiş olan, 2005–2006 eğitim öğretim yılı I.döneminde Ankara ilinde merkez ilçelerden Yenimahalle, &The aims of this research are; emphasizing the education of science in early education and ascertaining satisfactorinesses of the teachers in the early education foundations on the science activities. Research is limitted by the early education teacher that work at formal and special schools in boroughes of Ankara. These are; Yenimahalle, Çankaya, Keçiören, Etimesgut, Altındağ and Sincan. 232 early education teachers included to the research. In research the questionnaire is used that is individual information form and have 29 clauses that determine the satisfactorinesses of the teachers about the science activities.
